Things I’m Doing:

  • living in the Boston area
  • writing for wellness websites
  • spoiling my cat
  • playing for the Boston ICE Storm sled hockey team
  • facilitating a local Harry Potter and the Sacred Text group
  • creating content for the STEM nonprofit Math4Science
  • learning everything I can about harm reduction
  • drinking lots of diet pop

Some Things I’ve Done:

  • learned how this whole internet content creation thing works by getting a MA in Publishing and Writing at Emerson College
  • mentored disabled college students
  • grew up in Pittsburgh, PA
  • tutored neurodivergent high schoolers in biology and English
  • science communication at the public radio show Living on Earth
  • dodged Lyme disease while running programming at a camp for people with disabilities
  • graduated Oberlin College with a BA in psychology, creative writing, and (inadvertently) hipsterdom
  • served as a Digital Communications Coordinator for SWAP: The Oberlin Book Cooperative
  • read too many YA romance novels at INCLUDAS Publishing
  • co-founded a now-defunct newspaper turned community activism organization
  • wrote a thesis about how diet books are bad but not for the reasons you think
  • wrote a blog for Oberlin’s communications office

Things You Should Ask Me About Doing:

  • writing! blog posts, science news stories, love poems, wellness content, disability justice hot takes. you name it, I’ll write it.
  • public health and environmental science communication. my specialty is helping social and natural scientists convey their work to the general public.
  • audio editing. need someone to make the people on your podcast sound abnormally articulate? I can do it!
  • social media management. please pay me to scroll through Instagram.
  • serving as an authenticity reader. did you write a story or book? does one of your characters have cerebral palsy or a restrictive eating disorder, identify as transmasculine, have a speech disability, or use a wheelchair? I’ll happily review your work and ensure they’re represented well.
